Synopsis

Fabric Of The Land follows designer Ella Doran as she embarks on her most ambitious creative project: creating sustainable products from the wool of sheep that graze at Yorkshire Sculpture Park.

Along the way, Ella meets fellow designers, innovators, and manufacturers, including designer Julian Mayor, British Wool, Haworth Scouring, and Camira Fabrics. Viewers are taken on a captivating journey through wool production, from shearing to spinning to product design, while emphasising wool’s sustainable
qualities and eco-friendly design.

Created as a short film for an exhibition at Yorkshire Sculpture Park, this film has been updated for 2025 with additional footage shot by Paul Wyatt. It offers an even deeper exploration
into the innovative world of sustainable textiles, art, and innovation.
