About Paul Wyatt
“Paul’s ability to manipulate material in new and exciting ways defines him as the kind of energised leader and team player that makes our business work.”
Rupert S Macnee, Broadcast Executive

I’m a Producer and Self-Shooting Director working across TV, online, and digital content.
I handle the full 360-degree production process—whether that means managing multidisciplinary crews for a project or working independently as an agile, self-shooting producer-director on documentary and commercial productions. I bridge the gap between digital strategy and impactful storytelling, creating authentic video content that helps a client’s message cut through the noise.
I’ve worked with broadcasters including the BBC and ITV, global brands like Adobe, British Airways, and the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF), and leading cultural institutions such as the Design Museum, Royal Museums Greenwich, and the Royal College of Art. My work has been featured at Milan Design Week, the London Museum, the National Maritime Museum, Arts Centre Melbourne, cinemas around the UK, and on international television. Across it all, my approach to communication has a consistant focus: using human-centred narrative and insight—layered with a little humour when needed—to build authentic connections between subjects and audiences.
My work has a continuing impact.
-
For D&AD: I devised, shot, and produced video content for an online learning experience that reached over 40,000 learners worldwide.
-
For The Empathy Museum: My viral documentaries reached massive international audiences and aired on US television.
-
For Streaming & Cinema: I originated, shot, and produced documentaries for international exhibition, including the emotive Time and Tide and the quirky 2025 hit Sheep Actually—both of which played to sold-out audiences in the UK and US, connecting with viewers through authentic storytelling and impactful cinematography.
-
For the RSA Great Recovery: As resident filmmaker for the "Design Vs Waste" initiative, my documentary The Survivor Sofa Story broadcast on BBC iPlayer, led policymakers and members of the public to meaningfully engage with sustainability, and was featured in the 2024 RIBA publication Sustainable Interior Design.
-
On Public Policy: As a published journalist, I've interviewed hundreds of people to document major UK public dialogues on AI and genomics, producing films that were featured at high-profile forums such as the UK’s AI Safety Summit (AI Fringe).
When I’m not behind the camera or editing content, I’m supporting the next generation of creative talent as a judge for the Royal Society of Arts Student Design Awards, an industry speaker, and an educator and mentor at Metfilm School and University of the Arts London (UAL).
Whether collaborating with a large team from start to finish or acting as an agile director self-producing a compelling story, I bring the strategic insight and production know-how to make it happen.
