For The Record tells the moving story of fans competing to raise money for a good cause by designing 7-inch vinyl record sleeves for the music they love.

Hopeful their art will be selected and featured in the Secret 7” charity art exhibition, Emily in Nottingham and Mark in Leeds design sleeves inspired by No Surface, All Feeling a Manic Street Preachers song from 1996. The creative journey they take while making their vinyl record covers reveals the power music and art have in helping us share thoughts and feelings and in making sense of our lived experiences. Emily and Mark’s passion for music, art, and the Manics ultimately brings them together, even though they have never met in person.
